Our approach is straightforward: understand the design, plan the construction carefully and remain present throughout the build.
Construction rarely follows a perfectly straight line, so decisions must be made thoughtfully and challenges addressed directly. By staying close to the work, we maintain clarity on site and ensure the standard of the build remains consistent from start to finish.
Our Team
Sydneyside Contracting is led by a team with decades of experience in residential and commercial construction. Each project is supported by a network of trusted trades, consultants and specialists who share the same expectations around quality and accountability. Many of these relationships have developed across years of working together, creating a team that understands the level of care required on site.
Richard began his career as an apprentice carpenter working on architectural homes before moving into managing complex residential projects across Sydney. After founding RJC Constructions, he later established Sydneyside Contracting with his son Matt. His focus has always been on practical solutions, clear communication and ensuring the work is completed to a standard that endures.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Construction Project Management and leads project delivery across the company. He works closely with consultants and trades to manage the daily progress of the build and maintain clarity across the site. His approach combines careful planning with consistent presence, ensuring the work is carried out exactly as intended.
Dan has been an integral part of the Sydneyside team for the past 10 years. Serving as an on-site leading hand, he brings a strong foundational background in excavation to every project. Dan’s decade of experience and deep understanding of site prep make him invaluable during the early critical phases of our builds.
Luke brings over 15 years of experience to the Sydneyside team. Holding a Diploma in Building and Construction, he serves as an on-site foreman with a proven track record in high-end residential projects. Luke thrives on challenging builds and is known for his sharp eye for detail.
